The American Bulldog - What a Great Dog!
Of course, an owner with strong leadership skills is required to convey the message about this rock. But once your bully knows who the boss is, there are no more problems.
It's best to start when you're very young ... because your bully will put you to the test. If you are socialized and trained using positive reinforcement techniques without punishment, you will not find a happier, more energetic, more loyal, more silly, lovelier and funniest dog.
The amazing thing about them is that if you train them as quickly as possible, they are very sensitive and really want to please their owners. To get your attention, just change the tone of your voice. You answer immediately! Wait too long and you may have more challenges.
They are medium in size but extremely powerful. This is not the best dog if you have small children or older visitors! They are so excited to meet and say hello that they could accidentally beat someone.
They have a lot of prey, so it is a good idea to keep them under control and desensitize for smaller animals if they are still puppies. It also helps to counteract the possible aggression of the dog.
If you are a sofa potato, the American Bulldog is not the right dog for you. They need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. They can be destructive if left alone without having anything to do. They love to be mentally handicapped and they will surprise you with the speed with which they notice it. The key ingredients in forming an American Bulldog are trust and consistency.
Her ego loves to be petted with many compliments and caresses. That makes them easy to work out. When they know they like you, they're strutting like peacocks, with that little humpback for a tail moving from side to side!
They can be stupid and offer a show whenever they have the opportunity, especially if they know that they value their humor.
Tyrants tend to be gaseous and snore safely! Some drool more than others. If you are a Neatnik, a Bully family dog may not be the perfect dog for you. If you have a drool, feel naked on your shoulder without a towel.
Of course they are intimidating, but they do not consider the book confidential. They are usually great with people. Most people really believe that everyone they meet is their new best friend.
